Worked perfectly with the software, but failed in OSWeb

Hi everyone,

I created a new experiment with Open Sesame. It's a speech identification task and a discrimination task where people listen to sounds and click the mouse to indicate their answers.

I've made it work perfectly on my own computer using Open Sesame. But when click "test experiment in external browser", the sounds did not play at all, and when I click the mouse to choose the answer, nothing happened (it didn't changed the following trail). OpenSesame compatibility check indicated that there's no problem detected. and the OSWeb version is 1.3.3.0.

Does anybody know why? Your help will be much appreciated! !

  • Hi Sharon,

What browser (and browser version) are you using exactly? Most browsers provide a console where you can see error messages. For example, for Firefox you can access this with Ctrl+Shift+K and for Chrome you can access this with Ctrl+Shift+I and then opening the Console tab. I suspect that you will see an error message there. Could you post that here?

    Cheers!
