Online experiment with a video

Hello,

As part of my experiment I plan on showing a 1 second video (mp4 file )

I have managed to do it on my computer by using the video playback plugin (https://osdoc.cogsci.nl/3.2/manual/stimuli/video/), and it works fine

However, when I try to export the experiment as a JATOS study (my data collection is online) I receive an incompatibility error (attached photo). I was wondering if there is a way for me to play my one second video in my online experiments ?

Hi @Sana_2 ,

Playing videos is not currently supported by OSWeb. You can find a list of supported functionality here:

But if your video is only 1 s long, then an alternative would be to save each frame as an image and then show the frames in a loop with a sketchpad , such that you show one frame on each cycle of the loop . Does that make sense? It's not very elegant, but it will work.
