Full Screen - Legacy problem
Hi all
I just discovered that I am unable to run anything in Full Screen using the Legacy back-end, which always used to work fine in my pc (Win 7 machine)
So, if I just run OS 3.3.5, and click the Run fullscreen button. There is no error message, but the window does not appear. When I try to bring the window in the foreground, it seems to flicker a bit, and it disappears.
I have to kill the experiment, to end it.
Here are the console messages:
[2020-11-12 12:49:49,652:process:153:INFO] Starting experiment as ExperimentProcess-3 pygame 1.9.6 Hello from the pygame community. https://www.pygame.org/contribute.html [2020-11-12 12:49:49,979:legacy:187:INFO] enabling hardware surface [2020-11-12 12:49:49,979:legacy:196:INFO] enabling double buffering [2020-11-12 12:49:49,979:legacy:200:INFO] video mode ok [2020-11-12 12:49:50,597:legacy:185:INFO] sampling freq = 48000, buffer size = 1024 [2020-11-12 12:49:50,597:legacy:188:WARNING] mixer already initialized, closing [2020-11-12 12:49:51,118:experiment:464:INFO] experiment started [2020-11-12 12:49:51,118:experiment:468:INFO] disabling garbage collection
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Hi @fotisfotiadis ,
This sounds like a system-specific (and perhaps version-specific) issue that will be difficult to properly fix. As a workaround, though, you could try what happens if you change some of the back-end settings, notably setting either the Hardware surface and/ or Double buffering option to 'no'.

Thank you @sebastiaan for your response.
Unfortunately the issue disappears and re-appears for no obvious reason, and the Hardware surface /Double buffering options didn't work.
But again, thank you for your response!
