Switching between textboxes

Hi!

I was wondering if there is a way to switch between text boxes with for example tab or enter? In my experiment, people will have to rate an item with a certain number, and they have to rate 3 items each trial. While clicking the different boxes works well, it will take up more time of the participants, so I wanted to see if I can smooth it out for them.

If this is not a thing that can be implemented with the widget itself, is there a way to create some sort of "selected" function? In which the text box clicked is the selected one, and if a person presses "tab" then it moves over to the next item.

Kind regards,

Sanne

  • Hi @Sannee ,

This is not currently possible, but it would actually be very useful and so I filed an issue for it (to implement in a future release). In your case, you may also be able to make the experiment more user-friendly by having the participants give their rating through a keyboard_response , rather than a form. But whether that's a viable alternative of course depends on the details of your experiment!
