can't open Opensesame experiment saved on laptop: Unicode problem

Hi! :)

Since today I can't open a study that I programmed in Opensesame anymore. I get the error

" Failed to open the file for the following reason:

Failed to open file.

Details:

time: Sun Mar 14 17:39:20 2021

exception type: UnicodeDecodeError

exception message: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0x82 in position 11: invalid start byte"

If I can't open the file, I also can't try to solve this problem...

Can someone help me plese?

Hi @iris_ferr ,

It sounds like the experiment file has been corrupted for some reason. If you open the backup folder under Menu → Tools → Open backup folder, then maybe you have a recent backup that you can revert to? You could also upload the experiment file here so that I can see what is wrong with it exactly.
