[open] Developing a Corsi-like block tapping task in OpenSesame

edited February 2014 in OpenSesame

Hi, there :)

I am Robert from Hungary and I am totally new to Opensesame. I need a little help developing and coding the following experiment:
The subject would see five squares with the same dimensions in a row in the middle of the screen. The squares change colour according to a predefined sequence, just like in the Corsi block tapping task but the lenght of the sequence is constantly 5. The subject's task is clicking on the squares with the right mouse button in the correct sequence. This trial would be repeated at least 50 times. I need the overall response time of each sequence and if the clicking sequence was correct or not.
I know it is a huge request from me, but if any of you could help me in the first steps developing the code for this experiment I would be grateful :)

Thank you very much for your help :)

Robert

    Hi Robert,

I don't think that you will receive much help by asking such a broad question, without having made any (visible) effort first. If you are new to OpenSesame, I would recommend walking through the tutorials, and see how far these get you. Since it's a fairly basic task, I think you will get a long way.

But, of course, if you get stuck, feel free to ask a specific question, describing what you want to do, what you have done so far, and why you can't get it to work. If you do this, you will find this forum is a very helpful and friendly place.

    Good luck!
    Sebastiaan
