Totally new to OpenSesame - COM Port / USB Port?
Hello all -
I am totally new to OpenSesame, Python is not really my strong. I have an EEG apparatus that is supposed to receive trigger data from COM ports (Presentation or E-Prime).
Manufacturer says it would work with any Open Source software like OpenSesame and/or PsychoPy as long as they use a COM port to send the trigger.
It happens that my laptop does not have ports but I've researched that this can be donde through USB ports.
I am using Windows 11. I need to install legacy drivers so the COM ports appear in the Device List
I've also installed parallel_port_trigger as stated here in the manual.
Am I ready to go? What would be missing.

Hi @lopezchau ,
It sounds like you are ready to go. If you enter the name of the device (e.g.
COM3or something like that) in the parallel_port_plugin, you should be able to send triggers to the EEG acquisition device. This can be a bit finicky and system-specific though, so it would be good to have someone around in the lab who knows the set-up well.— Sebastiaan

Make sure the drivers for the virtual COM ports are installed and visible in Device Manager. Configure OpenSesame to use the correct port and test the trigger transmission to your EEG device. For deposits and withdrawals, you can visit https://mostbet-online-nl.com/deposit/
