Hi Eduard, Thanks very much for this, it makes a lot of sense and will work! Best, Kate

Update: It's something to do with using var.stimuli versus stimuli in the stim_prep function. If I use stimuli , it works fine, but then obviously it's not logged in the log file, which I would like. But it doesn't seem to recognise the pre-define…

Hi again @sebastiaan, I don't know if I've solved the above problem but I have noticed one thing (posting in case it's useful to anyone): Sometimes after starting Open Sesame, I notice that the little blue wheel that replaces the mouse cursor is sti…

Hey @sebastiaan , Actually yes, you can click on the thumbnail and restart the experiment! Very weird. Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions... if I ever figure it out, I'll let you know! Best, Kate

Hi @sebastiaan, Hmm I don't think so, it happens quite suddenly and for the participant to restart it would take some time. I've asked the participant each time if they accidentally pressed something other than the response keys and they've always b…

Thanks Eduard. A colleague also suggested another option (maybe simpler?): The break sketchpad should be inserted at the end of the trial sequence. Then, if you click on the trial node, you can edit the 'Run if' statement next to the break sketchpa…

Hi, I'm using Open Sesame 3.2.4 and have implemented this as per Sebastian's suggestion: Break if: [live_row_block_loop] % 3 = 0 Evaluate on first cycle: no Resume after break: yes However after the first break, the experiment ends instead of res…

Sorry, never mind, solution for v3+ is here: http://forum.cogsci.nl/index.php?p=/discussion/213/solved-self-paced-breaks-as-an-inline-script

Hi Josh, I'm trying to implement your solution to add breaks to an experiment in Open Sesame 3.2.4 by putting a sketchpad in the experimental loop. However, I can't see where I'm supposed to set the run-if statement. My experiment is set up with a …
