[solved] Difference between running from .exe and .zip
Hi,
I'm running an experiment on OpenSesame outside of my usual lab, and so need to install it on new computers in a hurry.
My question is this: is there a difference in performance between installing OS from the .exe download (which needs the administrator to install it) and installing it from a .zip file (which I can do myself).
Thanks,
Eoin

Hi Eoin,
None whatsoever, the
.exeis just an installation wrapper around the.zipfile. I'm talking about the package labelled 'Windows XP/Vista/7 no installation required (.zip)' here. The Python-portable-based package is slightly different, but should performance-wise be about the same as well.Cheers!

Ah, good stuff, I won't need to track down our busy/missing system administrator then.
Thanks!
