  • Hi Tom, In the mean time I've found a workaround: two seperate JATOS studies and using a jatos.endStudyAndRedirect call to move to the next one. That's another possibility, not the most elegant but if it works it works. Are you saying I should copy…
  • Hi Stephan, JATOS tries to get out of the way in all things that run in the browser. JATOS handles the backend side, like database, user and worker management, file storage and delivery. Other tools like OSWeb or lab.js or jsPsych handle the browser…
  • Hi Tom, Did you copy the component's JSON input into the new study? OSWeb studies need it to run. https://forum.cogsci.nl/uploads/819/G5S2H8SH8PX8.png Apart from this I can't see any error in how you merged both OSWeb studies - I would have done the…
  • Hi Stephan, Have you had a look at https://www.jatos.org/Cross-sectional-and-longitudinal-studies.html? Best, Kristian
  • Hi @Purban, could you please check if those 501 errors still occur if you use Chrome's incognito mode? I have a hunch that one of your browser extensions interferes with JATOS.
  • There is a simlar GitHub issue now: https://github.com/JATOS/JATOS/issues/253
  • Hm, but I'm getting worried that there is some issue that only happens with a small subset of browsers (that apparently I do not have). Can you tell me more about your two laptops, like OS type, browser, version?
  • Hi, I've seen those 501 error with a colleague of mine. But there it was solved with rebooting the computer - something that probably won't help in your case. The thing is that since 3.7.1 we use Webpack to pack jatos.js and its dependencies into …
  • @annma @Indiana @JaHa Okay, fixed it: version 3.7.2 is released (again). At least on my side it's working in FF and Chrome locally and remote.

  • @annma @Indiana @JaHa I had to put release to version 3.7.2 on hold. The Firefox fix seems to cause a problem in Chrome. I have to investigate further.

  • @JaHa The new JATOS version 3.7.2 is already out and you can use it. But if you want you can continue using the fixed zip I send you. It basically contains the same fix as in the new version.
  • Hi, I have no experience with Qualtrics but this looks strange: https://cortex.jatos.org/publix/ycjoQgCYsi4?&randomID=${q://QID7/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices} . You have an ? and an escaped & (the &) right after another and that …
  • @Indiana Nice it works for you now. About the message you see in the end, "Transferring you data. Please wait a few moments.", if it disappears again and no error occurs in the browser's console, then this is the way it should be. This mes…

  • @annma Got your example study and could reproduce the issue. The problem only occurs with my Firefox if I have the Developer Tools open. I think I know the reason for the 'error': Some browsers (maybe only Firefox) if you want to see the source code…

  • @annma Actual I was mistaken, it doesn't happen with me. Can you send me your study so I can reproduce the problem on my side? EDIT: Actually can you please send me a minimal reproducible example (so I don't have to click through 30 min of the study…

  • @annma Yes, happens with me too. I will investigate further.

  • Hi! Can you please elaborate a little bit more. I know JATOS but I'm not so familiar with OSWeb. E.g. can you describe what you have tried and where it fails? And what is the OSWeb feedback screen you mentioned? Have you had a look at https://www.ja…
  • @annma, you could replicate it for your experiment. But probably easiest is to wait for the new release. If it works for the other two (Indiana and JaHa) I will do the new version in one or two days. But if you can't wait: Get the folder 'jatos' fro…

  • @Indiana , I think I found a fix. It seems to have been an issue with Webpack that is used to pack jatos.js since the last version 3.7.1. But can you please confirm that it works on your side. I made a fixed jatos.js and load it in your study from t…

  • @Indiana @annma @JaHa Apart from the error message your studies work, don't they? Just tested them and I can click and proceed. Or is there something that does not work? I just want to know. The error message still worries me and I will have a close…

  • :) Yes, the Kristian is me. I got it. I'll try to have a look now.

  • I got your JATOS .zip/.jzip (.zip is fine too). I tried and had the same error message in 3.7.1 and not in 3.6.1. It looks like difficult to debug. But I won't have time today to look at it. Hopefully tomorrow. Best, Kristian
  • Does this problem still occur in the new version 3.7.1 (e.g. you can test on jatos.mindprobe.eu)?
  • Hi everyone, I do not get those errors in any browser (incl FF). Can you please send me an JATOS .jzip so I'm able to reproduce the issue? Best, Kristian
  • Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay. One errer message caught me eye: jatos.js not yet initialized. That's strange. Can you please share the JATOS .jzip of your experiment (not the .osexp)? Best, Kristian

  • Good question. Although JATOS deletes all study asset files and everything in the DB (like study results, study data, batches), the H2 database itself might keep some kind of backup. I know from MySQL that they keep a history of all changes (and the…
  • Updated the version. You can try again.
  • Thanks for telling me the Java version error. Apparently you have Java 8 installed. I'll upload a compatible version soon.
